global elements

I cannot see to get the global elements to work.

global_temp_2.scrub {single (debug)|<div id="channel-logo">|alt='|'|/>}

Tried adding a debug statement, but no debug information is given.  It looks like this is skipped.

I am using version version V1.56.27

Can someone give me a working example of using this global statement (with grab)

Thanks in advance

It is not the channel logo I am trying the scrub, but something else.  It does not matter.

And it is defintely outside the showsplit.  But that is whole point of these global elements.  They can scrubbed from the unsplit webpage.

No result.

I am trying to use this global element to replace the config_display_name or the xmltv_id, because I need to set define both independently.

Attached the Siteini and the webgrab++.log

The Siteini is OK.  But I am trying to improve things for my own benifit.

I know there is a more recent version of this SiteIni, but this is using also the config_xmltv_id element

Some repair work todo then on the global elements.

I solved it by 'misusing' the urlchannellogo

index_urlchannellogo.scrub {single (scope=datelogo)|<div id="channel-logo">|alt='|'|/>}

and

index_variable_element.modify {addstart () |\'programId\':'index_temp_1',\'channelAcronym\':\''index_urlchannellogo'\',\'hour\':\'0\',\'startHour\':\''index_start'\',\'endHour\':\''index_stop'\'}

Which worked nicely.
