Add channel number to guide.xml file

Hello, I use India/Tata sky.ini pack with MythTV PVR. At the moment the generated xmltv file does not contain the channel number.

Is it possible to add channel number 13 like so

<display-name>channel name</display-name>
<display-name>Callsign</display-name>
<display-name>13</display-name>
<icon src="http://someplace/13.png">
</icon>

The above snippet gets all the required details including the channel number into MythTV.

This is the standard XML format.

I'm trying to either pass the 'site-id' as a {channel number} to the xml file or similar.

Do you have any other ideas? Having the XMLTV with channel numbers would make this tool ultimate for my needs.

Thank you for a wonderful software!

EDIT: Seems TVHeadend has a way to use the channel number immediately before the station name. I need to edit all the entries, but it is working!
i.e.
196 At The Races

Unfortunately this trick only changes the name of the channel itself. The channel number value in TVHeadend EPG stays set to 0, is there any other working solution for this?

I know how to set it by hand, I mean this part:

https://docs.tvheadend.org/webui/config_epggrab/

and exactly this option

"Update channel number : Automatically update channel numbers using information provided by the enabled EPG providers."

it looks like that refers to dvb channels, for whichchannel number are provided directly. If you go next to the link i sent there is more on assignment. Anyway channel number is not in the "standards" of XMLTV, so an external modification is needed.
