How to use WG 3.0 License

where your trying something before this as it also says a previous record was found,maybe from a different pc?
there is also a h option which is a force hardware update.

I only repeated the same on the same computer. I needed again to set 'f' in license line since it was overwritten by longer message.

Hi .. the magic words here are 'a little bit of patience'.

It works like this ...

when a user registers .. an account is created and added to the user database of this website.
Then after some time , depending on me or Mat8861, an utility is started that updates the cloud user files. During that, new users are added and existing ones are updated if there are any changes , like donations, expiry dates, custom licenses etc.

For a new user, like you, fukor, when you run the program before your cloud user file is created, the program will not find your account during the license check and reports 'un_registered' user.

I realise that this is frustrating and confusing , but unfortunately there is (currently) no other way!
(I just checked, your data is on the cloud .. )

My WebGrab++.config.xml is attached in my previous post. I double checked the license line (I had to return email and password values which were *** in the uploaded one).

thats looks ok,ur running as a registered user.
the error message is regarding being a donator which u can ignore.

the error remains

what linux distro are you using?
lately a few people have had a issue with the ping binary.
the OS looks for it in /bin,check if you have the ping binary there.
webgrab checks for a internet connection on startup,if that fails you get the error you describe.

another user solved this by updating to a dotnet version of webgrab.
dotnet versions require dotnet runtime to be installed.

V4.x requires dotnet 5.x runtime libraries
V5.x requires dotnet 6.x runtime libraries

google dotnet linux install,there are tutorials on the microsoft website for different linux distros.
read it carefully as i said you only need the netcore runtime libraries.
theres a sdk and aspnetcore stuff also thats you dont need.

to install a dotnet version first install V4.2.2 from the downloads page.
you need to install this first because its a full installer.

after that you can update to whatever 4.x or 5.x beta version.
beta versions have no installer,just replace the files in the bin.net folder.

or you can stay with V4.2.2

also when u installed mono,did you install mono complete?
if not you need the ca-certificates,this will also cause this error.

Ah. I just spent the last hour trying to figure out why I could not get registration to work and forcing again and again - wanting to try out this interesting tool didnt include "patience" :-). All the FAQs talk about forcing updates around donations waiting for Paypal authentication and it doesnt seem to be mentioned anywhere that registration might also take a little time to push through the cloud. Suggest putting it into the FAQ or as part on the INSTALLATION help file.

Will try to be a little patient before seeing the outputs from V3 encrypted siteids - it seems to be awesome work you are doing here!

if it is you didnt include your username when you donated,use the contact tab at the top of the forums to contact the admin.
include yor username,email(forums and paypal(if different)) and copy of paypal transaction if you have it.

dont forget to include your username in the comments as the page says.
if you dont it will take longer to get processed as the site owner has to fix it manually.

there may be multiple ini for each country.
click on the epg channels at the top of the forums,then select a country.
a list of the available files will be shown.

the system has to wait until paypal posts the transaction.
once thats done and you included your username it will do it automatically.
usually a few hrs but i can manually run a check.
you will have the piggy bank badge beside your username when sits been processed.
