Problem, EPG shift

Hello all,

I use WG++ to grab Fuji TV's EPG from tvguide.myjcom.jp. Script execute successfully, but the start/end time shift 1 whole day. e.g. the program

うる星やつら<ノイタミナ> #22[字]

3月17日(金) 00:55~01:25

i.e. 17 March 2023 00:55~01:25

But the start/end time in the guide.xml become
programme start="20230318005500 +0900" stop="20230318012500 +0900"...

Shift 1 whole day from the original program schedule!!! How to fix this ? Thanks.

If your player doesn't change time, you may want to use https://github.com/SilentButeo2/webgrabplus-siteinipack/tree/master/post...
will fix all your channels to local time.
We will review it soon

there are better ini but the timezone= setting on the site {xxx} is incorrect.
change it from Asia/Tokyo to the timezone of the pc running webgrab
use timezone=? and run webbgrab and check your webgrab log file for a list of valid timezone settings if you dont know what to use.

May be the problem is more than "local time issue", since the time in the guide.xml already shift 1 day comparing to original program schedule, my IPTV player take this and apply the modifier +0900 to it as well and it become a mess.

you should use one of the other ini.
with the correct timezone set its appears correct but this ini needs some stuff fixed.

yes,the timezone has to be set to the timezone the epg is in.
this is set by the person who last updated or created the ini.
you dont change this unless you know what you are doing.
i told you to change jcom because it was set incorrectly by someone else.

in your earlier post you mentioned that your app was adding +09:00 hours?
why are you doing this?
if the epg data 9 hours ahead?

i will try to explain it..
there are only 3 possible settings for the timezone=
1. timezone of the site,in this case Asia/Tokyo(currently UTC+09:00)
2.timezone of the user,i assume this is Asia/Signapore for you(currently UTC+08:00)
3.UTC(UTC+00:00)

you already said Asia/Tokyo is incorrect but lets say we used this setting.your local timezone is UTC+08:00 and the epg timezone is UTC+09:00.your epg software should subtract 1 hour from all the programs start/stop times so the time will dispaly correctly for your timezone.

with it set to Asia/Signapore your epg software should be using this same timezone so the epg times will not be changed as both the epg data and your epg viewer and using the same timezone.

with is set to UTC your epg software should take your timezone(UTC+08:00) and the UTC timezone(UTC+00:00) and add 8 hours to all the start/stop times.

thanks for your reply, eventually I use timezone=Asia/Tokyo and xmltv_time_correct to adjust the time 1 day back (-24) to solve the problem
