Donator Licence

Hi glennt,
as far as i understood, the "donator_license" is valid for one year after the donation.
When the year is expired it falls back to "donator".
So it seems like you have to re-donate once a year ? My someone with better knowledge pelase correct me if im wrong.
I stumbled over this, a few days ago as my old WB2.x Installation did not run properly anymore and i updated to 3.1
There was no mention about this on the download page and it hit me like a Truck seeing only a few channels being updated... SO i donated to get it working. A chart with a comparision and description about all this licensing including the differences need to be more prominent on the homepage!

If you donate 5 euro/year you get 250 channels(1 year) with 10 euro 250 channels (2 year)this is a basic license. Custom License: If you need more channels (depending on number of channels), more hardware id, etc. etc. there is an "extra" donation, for this you need to contact the authors.

thanks for the clearance. I really suggest, you make some info-pages on the homepage about this for new users and all others that make an update after a long time...

Started to use WebGrab after quite some time, saw I was restricted to 30 channels. Donated and can see I have the ability to now to do 50 channels, but need 81.

Bit confused as I thought a donation would bring me up to 250 channels is this not the case?, do I need to donate after a donation to go from 50 to 250?

Right a donation will give you 250 channels and enable all functions (donator_license). After one year, if you do not donate again your status will become "donator" and you have 50 channels.

That said, I think I have an issue as before I donated I was restricted to 30 channels, then donating and waiting a day or two did a force update on license check. I can now download up to 50, I was expecting 250?

How do I escalate this?

Hi, I have the same problem.
My license expired, I made the donation again but it only allows me 50 channels.

1. Be patient, as soon as your license will be updated (normally once a week) it will be set to the license you are entitled to.
2. If you don't want to wait, run the program one time in license update 'force' mode .
You do that by adding 'f' or 'force' to the license element in the config file :

So, after one year i fall back to „donator“ if i don‘t donate a second time?
Do the encryption keys for the site.inis change from time to time or do they stay the same?

yes you go back to donator and can run v2 only.We are trying to remove keys.

Limitations are fine, but keep the inis free. Any ETA on that?

I don't know what happened here.

Hmm seems it was expired but it still says donator so little confused here.
I did send a new donation now.
