Donor area questions...

Hi,

I now have my donor badge and can now see the the site ini sub forum when logged in. I have noticed post within here break down as following two paths:

1) Decrypt keys (fairly self explanatory).
2) Posts where a site.ini and channels.xml are provided for download.

My question is in relation to point number 2. Are these site.ini and channels.xml files something more than what you get by running WG+ in update mode 'c'? Are they like special files for donors only that cannot be obtained via update mode 'c'?

I presume so, but wanted to check...

Thanks

Chris Gee

Siteini is static, unless site changes and cannot grab data we will update. Update "c" is to be run to update channel list, in order to get new channels o changes , so to get new channels users needs to run this update, very rarely but happens.

Hi - yes I understand both of these statements. What I am asking is, why do you post site ini's and xml files in the donor area? For example: http://webgrabplus.com/content/pt-eleven-sports

Because a lot of users will ask where is the channel list ? :)
Anyway also so you can easly check if in a channel you looking for is there.

Ok - what I am asking is...if I ran update mode 'c' would I get exactly the same channel list as the one in that link? Or this channel list better/newer/more complete in some way that is only available to donors?
