[Doubts] - Channels.xml generation time and obtaining only TV show name

Version of Wg++:2.1.10 Beta

OS: Debian8 (OSMC) on a Rpi2

Mono Version: 6.0.0.319

Hi everyone:

I have an M3U from different countries and I´d like to have my own EPG. I´d like to have a full EPG listing (full info) of my country´s channel and the EPG for the rest of the countries channels with the basico info (Start Time - Stop Time and TV show name).

My first question is: Is there any way to obtain only the basic info of the channels in the Webgrab++ config file, or the changes have to be made on the site.ini files?

The other question is regarding at the time that the Rpi2 in this case needs to generate the channels.xml file. I have tried with 29 channels (with full info from the site.ini) with one day span and it has took around 1h and 35 minutes to generate the file. Is that a normal behaviour (keep in mind that I´m thinking of getting hundreds of channels and I just can´t imagine how long can it take)? Is there any way to make it faster?

Please find attached my Webgrab++ config file as the site.ini that I´m using to get the info (the one I´d like to get only the basic info in the future).

Thanks in advance.

normally I would tell you to use the rex post processor as this is what it was designed to do(remove elements or move the data somewhere else(like add director, actors, ect to description)).this wont speed up grabbing as all the data is still scrubbed from the site initially.

first a little on how webgrab works.
on most sites there is usually 2 pages for data, the index_page(usually has the start(or also stop) time, title or optionally any other number of elements.then there is the details page(for each show from the index page) that usually contains most of the other information).

in your case you don't want the data in the first place.
what you can do is disable the index_urlshow line(add a * to the beginning).disabling this one line will disable everything from the details page, this alone will speed up grabbing a lot.
you could also disable and elements on the index page you don't want(all elements have the index_ prefix).don't disable the index_showsplit as this is needed.
so based on what I said you can disable(add * to beginning of line) everything that's not index_start,index_stop(may or may not exist, depends on the site) and index_title.
this will make grabbing very fast.

Hi @Blackbear199:

First of all sorry for answering so late. I don´t know why but I left this work in the past and I´m trying to do it again.

in which file should I disable the index_prefix lines? Could you give me an example please?

I am unable to find this index_prefix tags both in the .ini file or the webgrab config file nor on the site that it grabs the info and I don´t know how to find it.

Could you help me?

Thanks in advance

Hi @mat8861:

I get the idea, the problem is that I don´t know in which file should I put that.

BTW, i´m working with your movistarplus.es.ini siteini file, so maybe your help will be the best one.

Thanks in advance
