Hi
I wanted to use the tvhebdo.com to do Canadian channels but using the ini from the sitepack I can't get it to work.
First I tried to create an updated channels list but that failed so I thought I'd just try and pull data from 1 channel and it failed too. I did have a search on the forum but didn't see anything about it not working.
Do I need to update something?
sure, go on the website
So anyone based in the EU can't gain access? time to get the old VPN dusted off :D lol
Thank you Blackbear
I do have a USA VPN so I will give it ago, I will get there in the end, lol, but how do I set my VPN for use with the config file? Is there a guide I can read/follow for doing this?
thank you for the reply
Thank you, I shall start reading it :)
Hi all,
Firstly thank you for the advice given already, but I seem to have a new issue now, lol
Using my VPN (Nord) I can connect to a Canadian IP and can now get all the EPG data for the channels I need from tvhebdo.com and its works just perfect however I can not get the tvhebdo.com.channels to update.
Using the ini attached I edit out the * from between @auto_xml_channel_start and @auto_xml_channel_end (Already done in the attached file) and it starts to work then errors out (see attached log file) and I have attached the config.xml too so you can see what I am using to request the data.
what am I doing wrong?
it looks like you did not read documentation as indicated in post #6 ...........so add "example" or "dummy" to site_id in your config site="tvhebdo.com" site_id=""
Hi
I did do that
site="tvhebdo.com" site_id="example" xmltv_id="example">example
but it made no difference so I tried without as that works for other channel creation modes and that's what I uploaded, lol
@Blackbear199 well that would explain the problem, lol. Thank you and I have downloaded the new ini you pointed me too
@mat8861 thank you for your comment, I will ensure I keep the Example in the config as you said, lol
