Hi,
About a week ago I noticed that I was no longer to download tvshows. System has been working since ages flawless. I was still on V1. So in order not to bother you with a wild goose chase, I upgraded to the latest and greatest, did some solid debugging, even read the manual and followed it step-by-step. All with no solution.
Error message: "no index page data received". Consistently for all sites that provide dutch channel data.
WG++: V2.1
OS: Win7 (Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1)
Attached the requested log-files. Hope somebody can help me out.
John
I am having the same problem with tv.com in the US. I wanted to add some new channels, but I, too, was using an old version of WG++. So I installed the latest version and grabbed the channel list and pasted it into the WebGrab++.config.xml file and got the same "no index page data received" for all channels when I ran the app.
It looks like tvgids.nl have changed their undocumented API so it doesn't work with WebGrabPlus any more. Until someone figures out the new API you'll have to use a different provider. tvgids.tv is still working for me (but they don't have any data for nat-geo-hd and the schedule times for national-geographic are off by some minutes).
Well, I traced the HTTP requests of the TVGids.nl app and here is a description of the new API. I don't know enough about the INI files to make WebGrab parse the result, but maybe someone else might do that?
The API returns JSON responses in plain text or gzip format. My phone has the latest version of the app, but every response is prefixed with a message that this is version 0.0.11 and the statement that there is a new version and you must update.
http://json.tvgids.nl/v4/channels
Returns a list of channels with their ch_id:
"data":[{"ch_id":"1","ch_name":"NPO 1","ch_short":"NPO 1","slug":"npo1","vidurli":"http:\/\/www.npo.nl\/live\/nederland-1","vidurla":"http:\/\/www.npo.nl\/live\/nederland-1","default":true},{"ch_id":"2","ch_name":"NPO 2"...
http://json.tvgids.nl/v4/genres
Returns a list of genres with their genre_id:
"data":[{"genre_id":"1","genre_name":"Amusement"},{"genre_id":"2",
http://json.tvgids.nl/v4/programs/?day=0
Returns a list of all programs on all channels for a given day. Day can be -1: yesterday, 0: today, 1: tomorrow or 2: day after tomorrow.
Each program contains a unique db_id, s: start time as UNIX timestamp, e: end time, title, descr: description as HTML, optional img: URL to an image on tvgidsassets.nl, g_id: genre ID, tip: boolean, rerun: boolean
"data":[{"ch_id":"1","prog":[{"db_id":"56957761","s":"1546492200","e":"1546493400","title":"MAX Geheugentrainer","descr":"<html><p>Train uw brein. Naarmate iemand ...</html>","g_id":"1","tip":"false","rerun":"true"},{"db_id":"56957691"...
Thank you @Pingu.
That is indeed the workaround that I implemented: use of other tv guide providers.
Unfortunately I also lack the skillset to update the INI-files.
Cheers
John
