I'm glad you said something, I though it was cool since it showed the details of what it grabbed.  After testing both, I found uk.sky.com to be much faster and efficient as it only grabs the present and future shows and not the whole current day.

Is anybody having problems grabbing from tv.sky.com and uk-sky.com the last couple of days?

update: Yes theres clearly a problem does anybody know of a solution, im getting problem downloading page errors, cheers in advance

It's working for me.  Try increasing the timeout.  Use uk.sky.com from this website.

but its been fine for the last 6 months or so and nothings changed, my timeout is on 20 secs?

tried new uk.sky.com from above but still not pulling data

I have also problems with grabbing in both sites.

Has anyone got any ideas whats going on?

hi Blackbear199. Can you please have alook and update tv.sky.com as it is not working and you last fixed it and it worked fine since then. I know you are not into making alot of epg lately for many reason. Can you please make an exaception. This site has almost all the uk prominent chs. Thanks in advance.

Problem is I do not see anybody else engaged in making ini files aynmore.

Increased my timeout to: <retry time-out="20">4</retry>

This is now working - i do still get the odd timeout so may increase to 30 seconds.

UPDATE: This is still happening with the timeout increased has something changed on sky website? i've pulled 3 channels and now i'm getting timeouts i get one new show then timeout again.

thank you, I am trying this now but it will make the time of getting the epg data increase alot. I hope one of the guys like blackbear199 will fix it :D

hi Blackbear: it is a fact that we can only hope for the simple reason that we cannot do solve the issue on our own as we are not coders. But you are right again, we have not even bothered to check on the original site. It is not showing any epg which is why  we are having this issue. Thanks for pointing me/us in the righ direction. Let us hope that once the site has epg it will work flawlessly again without hoping that you will fix it. 

finally sorted -  downloaded the manuall and changed the ini - spot on now thanks blackbear99 for advise good to learn :)

how can that be if the epg is not showing in here http://tv.sky.com/tv-guide, how could you grab it...have you grabbed it or just made the ini file

my bad, he did create a new site ini 

let us wait and see how it goes. and it seems reading the manual is now a must-do :D we will see how that turns out :D

Takes about 20s for the api to reply right now, and that's only for the json response so I would suggest that you put at least a 30s timeout. What's broken right now from sky's end is to get a programme's detail (when you click on a row on the epg website).

What could work in the meantime is that the siteini file uses the same api (http://tv.sky.com/programme/channel/{channel_id}/{date}/{0,1,2,3}.json) the web guide uses.

Chuck all our money together and buy sky a better server hahaha
