UK-SKY.com - Update

My Sky Grabbing Doesn't Have Any Show Descriptions and The Titles Contain (?) Does Anybody Know The Fix or Could Provide Me With A New .ini File?

Many Thanks.

I'm looking at this too, trying to learn how to create ini files. I think that is the only way you're going to get a solution.

I think the key issue is that the page doesn't (as I can see) point to detail pages, but rather all content is on the "index" page. As a start you can simply set the title to the same as the index_title to get rid of the (?)

index_title.scrub {single|"title"|:"|",|",}
title.scrub {single|"title"|:"|",|",}

i realize the manual is alot to take in but you are misunderstand it all.

index_title.scrub {single|"title"|:"|",|",}
title.scrub {single|"title"|:"|",|",}

this doesnt do what you think is does.

these 2 elements(index_title and details_title(or as it shown above just title which is also acceptable) are scrubbing 2 different places.

title.scrub {single|"title"|:"|",|",}

does not mean its scrubbing the same page as the index-title.it just happens the actual title is using the same html tags in the page data.

if u wanted to set the title to the index_title value you would do it like this..

title.modify {addstart|'index_title'}

there would be no actual title.scrub like above,just the modify line to copy the index_title.

now..

if u believe what your are saying is true(all info is on the index page) then you dont need any details element scrubs(like the details_title or just title) so remove them as they are just wasting space.

the details page is only used when webgrab has a valid value for the index_urlshow element.if whatever this element's webpage is set to returns nothing then no details elements are even processed.

this is why its important that this is done correctly by whoever creates the ini.

webgrab has no way of knowing if the data it returns is good or bad.all it checks for is if there is data(it could be anything like "error 404").

this is where the index_title and details_title(or just title) and the (?) come from.

if the index_urlshow page returns data webgrab expects a title.scrub from it,it then compares it to the index_title.

if they match great,if they dont(or no title is found on the details page) you get the (?) in the title(xml file) and a message in your log about suspicious title.

this is webgrab's way of doing a check to see if the correct details page is being returned(it compares the title's).

so as i said if details elements are no longer being used get rid of them and the index_urlshow lines and you will not get the (?) because there is no title comparision as only the index page is being used.

Thanks Blackbear199. Your comments make a lot of sense and are much appreciated. The manual is definitely challenging but only because it covers so much! I'll spend more time tomorrow reviewing this.
