Adding Channel Numbers in front of Channel Name

So I have the radio times ini. I want to generate a list of channels with the Channel number specific to a particular provider e.g. sky/virgin/bt tv

How can i modify the ini to reflect this.

Can someone please offer some assistance?

may i ask why you would want the channel number included for all providers.

this does not sound like a personal use request.

sounds like something else...

btw i looked at the channel data and the only way your going to do this is manually add the channel number to the name in your webgrab++.config.xml.

Tvheadend has the ability to change channel numbers that it sees from EPG. One of the ways it can do that is first word or "numbers only" I am moving over from a numbering system that my parents are use to and I just want it to be easier when navigating through Kodi, so they can just punch the numbers to navigate channels. I would only use one provider I was just asking if such a thing was possible, as it has been done for virgin in a thread about a year old. Virgin EPG however is extremely slow compared to radio times

what i said above still stands, here's why..

when you visit radiotimes and view the epg guide and click on the chanel icon and it shows you the channel number for each provider..

the actual page that this data comes from is different than the one we use to get the channel id(site_id="xx" value in channel.xml file).

since we can only scrub one page we have to use the one with the channel id as thats need to get the correct epg for the channel.

i guess it will have to do. Might do some lengthy find and replace on the whole channels xml and maybe that will generate guide with the correct channel number. Thanks for your explaination.
