2 or more shows a day with description

Hi
I am very new to WebGrab but have managed to get a video on demand EPG working without description.  The downside is the device I am trying to use it on doesn't like a single show entry for 24 hours.  So my initial thought was to run two instances or more of WebGrab with 00:00-12:00 and 12:00-23:59.

Using Blackbear199's great guide to add 24 hour I sucessfully get Bridge of spies with description also.

<channel update="f" site="fixed" site_id="00:00-23:59##title:Bridge of Spies##description:Movie.##category:Movie##actor:Tom Hanks" xmltv_id="Bridge of Spies">Bridge of Spies</channel>

Then I read in fixed_info.txt that I can add multiple show times in one so my bridge of spies attempt became:
<channel update="f" site="fixed" site_id="00:00-06:00##title:Bridge of Spies##description:Movie.
####06:00-12:00##title:Bridge of Spies##description:Movie.
####12:00-18:00##title:Bridge of Spies##description:Movie.
##category:Movie##actor:Tom Hanks" xmltv_id="Bridge of Spies">Bridge of Spies
</channel>

The result is 3 entries for the specified times but only that last containing the description, credits, star rating etc.
  <programme start="20171110000000 +0000" stop="20171110060000 +0000" channel="Bridge of Spies">
    <title lang="en">Bridge of Spies</title>
    <desc lang="en">Movie</desc>
  </programme>
  <programme start="20171110060000 +0000" stop="20171110120000 +0000" channel="Bridge of Spies">
    <title lang="en">Bridge of Spies</title>
    <desc lang="en">Movie</desc>
  </programme>
  <programme start="20171110120000 +0000" stop="20171110180000 +0000" channel="Bridge of Spies">
    <title lang="en">Bridge of Spies</title>
    <desc lang="en">Bridge of Spies...Movie
[imdb description: Directed by Steven Spielberg.  With Tom Hanks, Mark Rylance, Alan Alda, Amy Ryan. During the Cold War, an American lawyer is recruited to defend an arrested Soviet spy in court, and then help the CIA facilitate an exchange of the spy for the Soviet captured American U2 spy plane pilot, Francis Gary Powers.]</desc>
    <credits>
      <actor>Tom Hanks</actor>
    </credits>
    <category lang="en">Movie</category>
    <star-rating system="imdb">
      <value>4.3/5</value>
    </star-rating>
  </programme>

Am I missing something or can't it be done in one go to include a description too?  I have looked through the forum and I see a lot of mention about ini files and change xyz but I must admit I am a bit clueless at present so please be gentle.

Any help is greatly appriciated.

hmm.definitely strange.

i would have to say this looks like a bug.i'll pass it on to Jan to have a look at.

EDIT:

i see why now.

only your last entry has enough info for a mdb match(title and actor)

<channel update="f" site="fixed" site_id="00:00-06:00##title:Bridge of Spies##description:Movie.
####06:00-12:00##title:Bridge of Spies##description:Movie.
####12:00-18:00##title:Bridge of Spies##description:Movie.
##category:Movie##actor:Tom Hanks" xmltv_id="Bridge of Spies">Bridge of Spies
</channel>

you need to include this info for all program times..

<channel update="f" site="fixed" site_id="00:00-06:00##title:Bridge of Spies##description:Movie.##category:Movie##actor:Tom Hanks####06:00-12:00##title:Bridge of Spies##description:Movie.##category:Movie##actor:Tom Hanks####12:00-18:00##title:Bridge of Spies##description:Movie.
##category:Movie##actor:Tom Hanks" xmltv_id="Bridge of Spies">Bridge of Spies
</channel>

results with you <channel line..

[  Debug ] Mdb data found for 1 out of 1 Movies-candidates

with mine..

[  Debug ] Mdb data found for 3 out of 3 Movies-candidates

Yeah I found it also in the end and can get just what I need.  I just never got here quick enough to update the post before you did.

Thanks for getting back to me so soon.

A further question:
Is it possible to remove the Director and actors from the resulting description?

Currently:
<desc>Directed by Steven Spielberg.  With Tom Hanks, Mark Rylance, Alan Alda, Amy Ryan. During the Cold War, an American lawyer is recruited to defend an arrested Soviet spy in court, and then help the CIA facilitate an exchange of the spy for the Soviet captured American U2 spy plane pilot, Francis Gary Powers.</desc>

To become:
<desc>During the Cold War, an American lawyer is recruited to defend an arrested Soviet spy in court, and then help the CIA facilitate an exchange of the spy for the Soviet captured American U2 spy plane pilot, Francis Gary Powers.</desc>

Is it also possible to make it a 5 day or 7 day EPG?  Running this nightly would be a bit of a pain.

Is it just me or are the examples hard to undersand and know which files to edit?

edit the mdb ini your using,and after the mdb_description.scrub like add

mdb_descriptiom.scrub {single|<div class="summary_text" itemprop="description">||</div>|</div>}

this description doesnt contain the directed by,ect part you dont want.

the original mdb_description disable it by placeing a * at the beginning of the line.

regarding 5 or 7 days,create your fixed ini webgrab++.config.xml entry for the entire day(24 hr period) like the fixed_info.txt file says.

change your <timespan>xx</timespan> setting to the number of days you want it created for.

this is 0 based so..

0 - 1 day

1 - 2 day

2 - 3 day

ect

fixed.ini can do upt o 31 days.
