Hi team,
I've noticed an issue where my windows 11 5.1.3 is not obeying my nomark direction
I have set mode to both n and nomark but neither seem to work.
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.
Ive been testing using the dstv ini because all shows display as new.
Thank you.
i never had any issues with mode settings.
did you recently add that mode setting?
if so if you had previously grabbed epg it wont remove the (n) from description.
only newly grabbed shows will not have it.
either delete your guide.xml so all new data is grabbed without the (n) or just let the epg expire eventually it will all be replaced with new epg without the mark.
.
Hi Blackbear,
I tried deleting the guide.xml and running in force update but no luck getting the nomark mode to work.
Also, the nomark direction was not recently added
I've attached my config in case you need it.
Thank you!
upload a sample of whats in your guide.xml
dont need the whole thing, copy a few shows and save them in a text file will do.
i never had a issue with nomark and i've had it enabled forever.
i tried one of your channels and looks fine to me on windows and linux.
what are u running webgrab on,linux or windows?
Hi Blackbear,
I'm on Windows 11 running v5.1.3
The funny thing is, its across all site inis including the ones that contain marks that can be used.
For example, other inis have great marks but despite asking WG to nomark, they're still there.
I've been testing with dstv.com site ini because all shows display as 'new'.
I've attached a short version of the guide.xml here.
i think your referring to the (?) in the title My Juke Box (?)
this is ini issue.
n or nomark removes (n),(c),(g),ect from the end of the description.
fixed the (?) problem.
Hi Blackbear,
Thank you for the site ini fix.
After looking into this more, it seems to be an issue with the player I'm using.
It defaults to "new" when there are no marks/flags. Very annoying.
I'm not sure if this is possible but I noticed there are no marks\flags when turning off nomark using this site ini.
Is the due to them being unavailable?
If they are available can the site ini be updated for this?
the marks as i described above.
as i said they wont be applied to already grabbed epg.
look at the description.this was grabbed using update f
Hi Blackbear,
My player assumes any show without < previously-shown / > field is new.
This seems to be the culprit.
Not sure if its possible to pull this info with a site ini adjustment.
Can you please take a quick look at dstv and let me know?
In the meantime, I will try to find a solution but I'm not that optimistic so your help is appreciated.
Thanks for our help and patience with this
here ya go.
dont expect every ini you use to have a flag to detect if a show is new or not as they are few and far between.
this did have a first airing tag so i used that.
Hi Blackbear!
Thank you! Tested and working.
Seeing as many players take this approach to determine new shows (i.e. plex, emby, npvr, etc.), I thought I'd take a stab at updating my tvguide.com ini.
I was reading the site ini manual but I am little confused.
As I understand, i would need to define a temp like the example in the manual.
previousshown.modify {addend|(start=’temp_1’)(channel=’config_site_channel’)}
However, I'm unsure how to define temp_1 and find the appropriate field using dev tools on the tvguide site.
I'm new to site ini development but I feel now that I understand more about wg++ usage, I could start learning to understand and contribute on this side as well.
Any tips to point me in the right direction?
the example in the manual assume there a previous air date and it adds the channel name.
you dont need any of that.
if ypou look in the ini its already dont for you...well mostly.
these lines..
*next line adds * to new shows, Title * = new shows, Title = "not new", 2 places
*title.modify {addend('temp_5'=="4")| *}
so if temp_5 has a value of 4 its a new show.
this code will add a * to the end of the title.
the code is disabled.
so if temp_5 has a value of anything other than 5 is not a new show.
so simply add this after the *title.modify line
previousshown.modify {set('temp_5' not "5")|true}
setting its value to true will add this to your guide.xml
<previously-shown />
Hi Blackbear!
Thank you for your guidance.
I have definitely learned a lot.
I have tested and it works great!
hi guys. i am having a problem with the following message.
DSTV.COM -- chan. (xmltv_id=South Africa) -- skipped --> encrypted SiteIni
Can some one help with this?
hi guys. i am having a problem with the following message.
DSTV.COM -- chan. (xmltv_id=South Africa) -- skipped --> encrypted SiteIni
Can some one help with this? I also get a licence unregesters error :(
see the FAQ at top forums.
Thank you for helping the noob. still have no idea
You need to become donator to run encrypted siteini and also set your license (for no donator is limited) see:
https://github.com/SilentButeo2/webgrabplus-siteinipack/blob/master/site...
i am still strugling with this. i am realy new to this
in you webgrab config anything between <-- and --> is a comment and ignored.
the license line has these at the beginning and end by default.
remove them if you havnt.
also for your password its not your forums password.
scroll to bottom of forums and click my account, there you will see the passcode thats used for your license password.
is this crrect?
looks ok.run webgrab once.
check your wglicense.log(its in your wg config directory)
it should say your a registered user.
if it does remove the f at the end >f< so its ><
f is for force license update.
you dont need to run a force license update everytime webgrab runs.
still getting site encrypted error
as mat8861 said above you need to be a donator for encrypted ini.
but your license info works now..
[Warning ] License 'registered_user' can not decrypt this siteini !!
[Warning ] Consult WGLicense.log.txt for detail of the various license options
i did donoate 6 euro
recently?
it takes a few hours as the system has to wait for paypal to post the transaction.
did you include your username as stated on the donation page.
keep checking the forums, once you see the piggy bank badge by your username your donator license is acxtivated.
after that webgrab should automatically update from registered user to donator license.
if it doesnt add the f back as i said above to force a license update,it it works remove it again.
until you have your badge u will have to wait.
it was 2 hours ago and i did include my nic yes
i just checked and nothing yet.
is this the correct one? You sent €6,00 EUR to Francis De Paemeleere.
yes.
i will post when its been activated.
you should be good to go.
Thank you. It is working now. Now just to fix the site ID for a few f the dstv channels
site id?
i assume you meant xmltv_id to map epg to your m3u list?
New:
channel update="i" site="dstv.com" site_id="en##zaf##N26" xmltv_id="[182] NatGeo Wild">[182] NatGeo Wild[181] National Geographic Channel[181] National Geographic Channel[182] NatGeo Wild
open the ini and near the top read the remarks to create a updated channel list.
i already corrected it.
ok,thats also a option if you know how to do it.
Hi Blackbear,
Just to bring his back to what you said in post #12.
the tvguide.com ini file was recently updated.
I removed the * from *title.modify
I ran WG and checked the results but the previously_shown tag doesn't seem to be working.
I'm wondering if there's anything else that needs adjusting.
Thank you!
what i said in post 12 is no longer needed.
use the stock ini and previously-shown tags works.
in the current ini index_temp_6 gets set with the value Live,Repeat or New depending on the value of index_temp_5
premiere is set to true if index_temp_6 contains Live or New.
previously-show is set to true if it contains Repeat.
disabling the title line you mentioned only adds a * to end of the title if its New.
