REX. Scrub all categories from certain channels

So on my mission to EPG perfection is it possible to get REX to completely scrub categories from certain channels.
The reason for this is again down to my jellyfin setup. All categories are working great now (thanks Blackbear199 & mat8861)
But.. the "+1" channels are showing repeats on the home-screen which I don't want. With these simply being +1 channels I don't see the need to display all categories.
I did ask in the Jellyfin help-channels, but no joy.
Ive attached a screenshot to show what is happening.

The +1 channels are generated by your wg++ config with line "same as...." ?
Using this method rex runs after guide is completed and categories should be removed same way as the regular channel.

Thats exactly how I have it setup in my config. I was wanting Rex to keep the categories on the standard channels and only scrub the categories on the offset channels?
I'm thinking this might be a job for grep or sed, unfortunately this kind of sorcery is beyond me :)

Please post 2-3 channels of your config or the guide.xml plus the rex config. The scope of +1 is the same of the channel and just add one or more hours to scheduled time, so all the rest is like the original channel. Modify only the +1 channel could be probably achieved with separate run and rex and then merge into final guide.

I posted the question on stackexchange and I got this answer which works well for one channel "ITV2 +1"
