I want to remove the details of a site, movistarplus.es, I only want the title, I have never used rex but I read the documentation and it says that I only have to put the empty label of the argument that I do not want to download, I already did it but I did not work, I leave my configuration of how I have my rex file, for example so I would have to omit downloading the description, I understand,Do I have to specify the site I want to skip?

You modified some line of the file, that's why you get that error

Rex is very easy, enable it in config, placee the config for rex in rex folder...attached a very basic sample to keep title,descriptio and production date at end of description

Thanks Blackheart but this is not correct. The xmltv_ns system works with a different system:

"xmltv_ns: This is intended to be a general way to number episodes and
parts of multi-part episodes. It is three numbers separated by dots,
the first is the series or season, the second the episode number
within that series, and the third the part number, if the programme is
part of a two-parter."

So, when i have [episode-num system="onscreen"]S7 E18[/episode-num] the equivalent in xmltv_ns should be:

[episode-num system="xmltv_ns"]06.17.[/episode-num]

Tht's because it starts with 0. So season 7 will be 06 in xmltv_ns because you must substract 1 to season and episode.

So, there's any way to convert the data for "onscreen" to "xmltv_ns"?

that's what webgrab will do,if the episode system has a pattern argument(which this ini should) it can convert it automatically.
this is because the pattern argument tells webgrab if the episode info scrubbed from the website is 0 based(xmltv_ns) or 1 based(onscreen).

once webgrab knows this u can change the output format by changing it on the site {xx} as I said above.

ex..
S5 E4 with episodesystem=onscreen
will be converted to
4.3. with episodesystem=xmltv_ns

don't assume you can do this for any ini,most have been updated to have this ability added but I am sure there are a few old ones around that hav'nt been.
if ur unsure just open the ini and look at the episode lines and one of them should have a pattern="xxxxxx".if you don't see it then this wont work.
look in the ini u have to get a idea of what the pattern="xxxx" might look like.it varies depending on the site.

Before making the donation (I think it has a expire date and I'm going to be on holidays, so I'll do it when I come back and can try configuring webgrab with movistarplus.ini), I'd like to sum up what I've read, to see if I have it clear.
I have some doubts (mainly because I am really dumm with programming).

I guess these are the steps (please, if I'm mistaken, correct me):
1- modify the xlm file with the info I'll find in the ini file I'll be able to download.
2- continue configuring as explain here http://www.webgrabplus.com/documentation/configuration/howto
3- this is where I'm starting to get lost:

I can't find the "youre_site.channels.xml", I don't know if it's created when I get to this point or is another file I'll be able to download. Either way, if you could help me understand this step, I'd be greatful.

not much to add, you add your channels to config (for the siteini you want) and run webgrab. After that you can modify the output, mainly is to remove elements you do not want, so you can or not run post process like rex or mdb or be just satisfied with the info you will have.
Point-3 with latest version is automated, you run update mode "c" and you will get a fresh list of channels
point-4 post-process rex remove/modify the elements order, while mdb is mainly to add info not provided with siteini(checks the movie dbase for actors names etc etc.)
you can start trying for free with other siteini so you will understand how it works.

Thanks, I tried using another inifile (tried 4) but they don’t work, don’t provide any info. That’s why I’m asking. If I found it easy, I would donate and configure it before leaving on holidays, but I guess I’m going to spend sometime with this.

After that, I tried to install v.2.1.11 beta and got this error:

no idea what ur doing wrong.
extract the files from the beta update and overwrite the ones in your /home/[username]/.wg++/bin directory
replace [username] with ur Linux username.

try extracting the beta version in your home directory...

It worked, thanks! I extracted it and was able to execute it... but it says it's encrypted. I didn't added the line before because I couldn't find it anywhere, not in the ini nor in the xml file. Sorry to bother you with a presumably really dumm question, but could you help me find it so I can end the configuration of the config.xml file?

if its encrypted ini then u need to ask the person who enctypted for the key which u add to ur wg config.xml
