Update horizon.tv ini files

Hi guys and happy new year,

I'm using horizontv (romanian and hungarian) as a guide source to create the xml that i'm using afterwards in Plex. For a series to be detected as a series, Plex needs to have the category of the show labeled as "show" which in some circumstanced does not exist. The second thing Plex needs is to have this type of episode numbering system: <episode-num system="original-air-date">2018.01.01 03:03:03</episode-num> and this is not the case as it does not exist.

Needed modification that I would like to add in the ini:

1. Enrich the category type
If "<category lang="hu">Filmvígjáték</category>" exist then
create a new one just under it "<category lang="hu">show</category>"

2. Enrich the episode-num system
If <episode-num system="onscreen"> exist then
create a new one just under it, <episode-num system="original-air-date">"Programme start date in yyyy.mm.dd hh:mm:ss format"</episode-num>
example:

from:
<episode-num system="onscreen">E5</episode-num>
to:
<episode-num system="original-air-date">2019.01.01 01:45:00</episode-num>

knowing the program start time is in the programme start line : <programme start="20190101014500 +0000" stop="20190101020500 +0000" channel="572">

3. Add a category type for each programme that has the <episode-num system="onscreen"> line:
If "<episode-num system="onscreen">E6</episode-num>" exist then create a new line
"<category lang="hu">show</category>"
example:

from:
"<episode-num system="onscreen">E6</episode-num>"

to:
"<episode-num system="onscreen">E6</episode-num>"
"<category lang="hu">show</category>"

This is needed because in some circumstances the only way yo identify that a program is a show is that it has the <episode-num system="onscreen"> line present, the categories are too generic.

Thanks in advance!

Have you succeeded in the creation of original-air-date episode numbering with date form start of the program?

Nope, I think I have the skills but need some documentantion to do it, that's why I posted in the first place.

O'll wait for Blackbear199, maybe he can give me some docs or help.

@egrimisu it seems that plex does not understands onscreen episode numbering, as only after, with a help of @Goran I changed site.ini to episode numbering type xmltv_ns plex showed Seasons and Episodes. Additionally, I changed categories to English (series, News, Sports etc.) with index_category.modify {replace(type=regex)|"^Serialai$"|series} By default everything goes into Movies category, only if there is episode number it will go to a particular category which is indicated in the category field. But if there is no episode numbering system defined, plex will put this show to Movies category even if there is a different category indicated. So here is original-air-date comes handy, as plex does not default to Movies.

If we could create an xmltv where depending on category or categories episodnumbering system original-air-date with actual date and time of the show is created, then plex should put it into the right category (not movies). At least this is my findings on manual edditing xmltv file :)

Can it be done in ini file or in rex?

every person that creates or fix ini started at the same place.
its i am a programmer so its easy for me,yes it helps as one understand code flow, ect but webgrab uses a structure that every user has to get used to using.so saying its beyond my ability is well ur problem.

i learned from knowing absolutely nothing.

the amount u learn is directly related into the effort u put into it.

Hey bear,

It wasn't complain. It's simply time and maybe priorities that do not align now. Maybe in the future.

For lazy users there is donation (to access site.ini already made and get help when possible) and before "someone" says authors make money, I say alternative is do it yourself or wait some other user to ask you a "small offer". I stop here ;)
