Using WebGrab+ on two computers during upgrade to Windows 11

I'm setting up a new computer with Windows 11 for the EPG download, but there are some other programs that I have to finetune to get everything up and running as I like. I found something about running the same WebGrab+ on two computers some time ago, but cant' find that link now.

Also, the Windows 11 computer has the .net version 4.8, not version 8 as I see is required for the new 5.x WebGrab+ software. Checked it out and it seems to be available, but the computer is downloading updates as required but doesen't have the .Net 8.0 runtime.

So two questions:
* How can I run the WebGrab+ EPG download on two computers for a short period during this update (a week or something)?
* I guess I'm wrong about the .net version, but an explanation would be nice regarding my .net 4.8 and the required .net 8.0.

Thanks!
Louis

1. your license allows 2 computers so it shouldnt be a problem.
2. netframework 4.8(wg V3.x) and dotnet 8.x(wg V5.x) are 2 different things.
netframework was replaced by dotnet.
google dotnet windows install and you should find the link to microsoft site to download and install it.

So I'm ready to use 2 computers? Great, one problem solved. And the netframework/dotnet you mention was new to me, so thanks a lot for the information and update regarding my account!

Just an update for others in the same situation (upgrading a functional WebGrabPlus from Windows 10 to a new Windows 11 computer):

* In my case, the .NET 8 had not been added via the regular Windows 11 update schedule, so I went to:
https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet
and downloaded the .NET 8.0, ran the file (restarted the computer to be sure everything was updated), and an additional update was performed during the restart.

* Copied the "WebGrab++.config.xml" file to the same folder structure as on the Windows 10 setup.
* Added the Task Scheduler startup as in the previous setup (it runs a wakeup task at 07:00 and the WebGrabPlus at 07:05).
* Clicked the WebGrab+Plus icon, and everything was downloaded as on the previous setup:
Downloaded the guide.xml
Updated the WebGrab++.log.txt

So a short version for others that haven't done the configuration for a while:
* Download and install the .NET 8.x, restart the computer.
* Install the WebGrabPlus software.
* Copy the WebGrab++.config.xml from the previous setup to the same folder structure.
* Done!

I would just like to add a big thanks to the WebGrabPlus team for this excellent software, and the change from version 3.x to 5.x (as in my case) was pretty much "straight forward". It's a pretty complicated software and a lot going on "below the surface", but for a user like me, it's just working!

Thanks!
