registered hours ago, however, my license sows "expired"?

I registered today and gota alid account created. Normally I should be recognized as as registered user, but I'm not.

Tried everything forcing a license update but it doesn´t solve the problem.

my WGLicense.log.txt shows the following:

[        ] WebGrab++ license request and update log
[        ] 2026/07/05 16:23
[  Info  ] Username         : TCR
[  Info  ] Registered EMail : thomas@rehbergweb.de
[  Info  ] License Password : xxxxxxx
[  Info  ] Single timezones file created at : /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.wg++/./timezonesdata.txt
[        ]
[  Info  ] License request/update
[  Info  ] Username 'TCR'
[Warning ] A previous record dd 2026/07/05 for un_registered user 'TCR' found
[Warning ] Correct the username in the license request :
[  Info  ] <license wg-username="TCR" registered-email="thomas@rehbergweb.de" password="xxxxxx" />
[Warning ] License has expired !
[  Info  ] The program will run with performance settings : 'un_registered_user'
[  Info  ] License check .. done

(password manually xxxxxte out...) It is definitely the password I can read from my account setting under "License pass code".

Before donating any ammount I want to see the scripts working, is there any idea that could apply for resolution?

Many thanks in advance,

the problem is that for user TCR it doesn't correspond your email, may be you have changed/updated ? Anyway contact the author, he is the only one that can fix it. Alternatively re-register with another email and username

thanks for your note, appreciated! However, 'TCR' definitely is the username of my account, shown also on the top right corner 'Logged in as TCR' ... When I lookup my account I find the License pass code there tha I'm using, so I wonder what is wrong here still.

I have sent a direct mail to the author hours ago, but no reply yet.

EDIT: Just tried again, speculating if not it just takes way longer then expected to get my license updated.

And SUCCESS, a forced license update this time did the trick. Thanks for your patience.

EDIT_2: LIcense is now reported as expired ??? However, I'm now confirmed as 'registered user' in WGLicense.log.txt:

[  Info  ] No License update required
[  Info  ] Next update, first run after : 2026/07/12 21:15
[Warning ] License has expired !
[  Info  ] The program will run with performance settings : 'registered_user'
[  Info  ] License check .. done

Moreover, the WebGrab++.log.txt is explaining to me that I cannot decrypt V3 encryption with this license:

[  Info  ] found: /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.wg++/./siteini.pack/Networks/rakuten.tv.ini -- Revision 04
[  Info  ] encrypted in 'new (V3)' mode
[Warning ] License 'registered_user' can not decrypt this siteini !!
[Warning ] Consult WGLicense.log.txt for detail of the various license options
[Warning ] rakuten.tv skipped

So I´m afraid I need to upgrade to the donator_license, need to figure out how to do that.

Thanks mat8861, the donator_license works out fine, and it didn´t take more than a night to apply.

Siteini decryption is solved by this, and meanwhile I also solved the timezone issue I was facing with the RakutenTV.ini

Remaining topic is that, somehow, the channel icons do not work in Jellyfin nor in Threadfin, altough their link is available in the xmltv guide generated. I may need to add them manually, but I want to know why is this since other epg just load their channel icons w/o any problem.

Many thanks,

I checked and channel icon is there, if you mean show icon some channels do not have them. As far as import can't help, no idea what could be since just clicking on the link it opens fine.

by coincidence I just discovered that Threadfin has an unresolved bug reading "icon src" in xmltv correctly. Perplexity told me :-).

my process chain is HLSproxy > Threadfin > Jellyfin Live-TV. I use Threadfin for matching and filtering of channels, and some postprocessing of DTS timestamps etc. in the streams of some m3u8.

So I may either add the icon sources manually to Threadfin (I only have 30+ channels to deal with) or consider xteve which is reported not to suffer from such bug.

Anyway, the problem sits in my production chain, not in the guide.xml that Wg++ is generating.

Thanks!

for the time you may want to check the post process plugins, there is also add logo(when it's missing in guide.xml or you want to add your own).
