Help for problem sit.ini ''guidatv.sky.it''

Hello everyone,

I’m asking for your help regarding the ini file in question: guidatv.sky.it.ini. The situation is a bit complex.

I’m using the latest version of WebGrab+Plus 5.5 on Windows 11.

I’m attaching the reference files because the issue involves two different files: the one from matt8861 and the one from DogLover.

Regarding matt8861’s file, I noticed that channel grabbing set for 4 days takes a very long time—over an hour.

On the other hand, when using DogLover’s file, the grabbing process is very fast (just a few minutes), but the issue is that, despite being set for 4 days, it automatically grabs only 1 day, or at most 1.5 days.

This does not happen when using much older versions of WebGrab, as also suggested by DogLover.

Until recently, I was also using a much older version of WebGrab (sorry, I don’t remember which one), and all days were fully grabbed with very short processing times (around ten minutes).

My question is: is there any possibility to update matt8861’s file (I’m referring to the author) so that the grabbing process becomes significantly faster?

Also, I would like to ask if anyone has experienced IPTV Extreme automatically showing only certain EPGs while ignoring others, even though the guide is correctly loaded.

Thank you all in advance for your great support.

Best regards

first your comparing apples to oranges.
not all ini's are created equal.
doglover creates files geared towards the dreambox community.
this means he skips grabbing anything thats a dreambox doesnt use and usually uses only the index page.
that means his data data has no..
credits(director,actor,ect)
year
age rating
country of origin
this data exits on a separate webgrab so mats8861 files grabs a extra webpage per show where doglovers skips it.
if you dont used the above data then doglovers files is faster for this reason.
grabbing this extra page will make webgrab slower for the obvious reason.
imho i think both are broken regarding the amount of data thats available.
i didnt test either doglovers or mat8861 file but i have my own version and i tried canal 5.
i get 7 days or epg data, not 1 or 1.5 or 4 and its relatively fast i think as it does get the extra data above.

doglovers and mat8861 logs both show no shows,mine...

as i said i think both are broken and need fixing.

Hi,

Thank you so much for the very clear explanation. So, I was wondering... could I have the INI file you use?

your better off to ask the webgrab guys to fix the version in the pack.
look at my guide.xml
i use V2.1.11
its acient but i dont need a license.
much has changed from that version to V5.5
your better off getting them to update it for the latest version.

But I wouldn't mind using the old version you're using; the problem is that there's no way to download it

yeah, old files have been removed but its out there if you look around.
btw it would make absolutely no sense for you to downgrade to it.
99% of the files wont work with it.
many updated ini files use features not available in V2.1.11 or are encrypted.
none of these will work so unless u can maintain your own files your wasting your time imho.

1. do not post config with license data.

2. you have very old channels in your config (this make wg++ wasting time trying to grab

3. try the new version, it seems faster

Hello,

Thank you, and I apologise for the files uploaded with a licence. It wasn’t intentional.
What new version are you referring to? The software I’m using is updated to V5.5 and, if I’m not mistaken, that should be the latest version.
Thanks in advance
