did you install dotnet 9 ? Is this new installation or upgrade?

That is windows 10 correct? can you please translate the windows message in english?

I also run win 11 and din't have  the problem.

I have same problem. Running windows 11. Version 5.5 was working fine. I installed new beta and runtime 9.0 and now it does not work. Tried installing 5.5 again and now that also does.not work. Why does upgrading install always go like this? When i run the run shortcut created on desktop it just opens a textfile. Trying to run the webgrab exe and windows gives same error message as mentioned in this thread.  Same problem with the install file downloaded from mediafire.

So I removed and uninstalled everything. Reinstalled webgrabplus 5.5 and dotnet 8.0. Now.webgrabplus 5.5 works again. I will wait with upgrading untill things are out of beta and a stable is released

you should use dotnet 9, then try the link on the post #11

5.5 was running fine on my Win10 (x64) machine. 5.6 gives the error on Win 10, but runs fine on Win 11.

the problem is the launcher(WebGrab+Plus.exe)
jan compiles using arm-64 and thats what he released.
so when u try to run it on win-64 for example it chokes.
if you have a working V5.5 or whatever installed copy and replace the launcher in V5.6 and it will work.
only the launcher needs be replaced.
to prove it do this in terminal..
dotnet "C:\Program Files (x86)\WebGrab+Plus\bin\WebGrab+Plus.dll"
webgrab will fire right up.
this is basically what the launcher does for you.
it chokes because it was compiled for arm-64 not winx86

here's my launcher from V5.5
