Skipped SiteIni, despite being registered

Hi,

I'm trying out WebGrabPlus to get EPG data from TVP.pl. It runs as a registered user but still skips the SiteIni (skipped --> encrypted SiteIni). This site is open to registered, non-donating users as far as I understand.

I tried the download the tvp.pl.ini file with the command:

wget -O tvp.pl.ini https://github.com/SilentButeo2/webgrabplus-siteinipack/blob/master/siteini.pack/Poland/tvp.pl.ini?raw=true

... but it doesn't help, the file is skipped.

Please help.

Regards.

on git click on the desired file then click download raw file.

why are you using this method.

during installation the ini's are downloaded to siteini.pack folder

if you want to update it use the provided update tool

windows..

C:\Program Files (x86)\WebGrab+Plus\bin\SiteIni.Pack.Update.exe

linux..

/home/[username]/.wg++/bin.net/SiteIni.Pack.Update.sh

also if the ini is encrypted in V3 mode(default) then it wont work for registered users.

only the old V2 legacy does.

see your webgrab license log file.

its in same folder as your webgrab config file.

At first I tried with the .ini file that came with the installation, then since it was being skipped I used wget as advised in the FAQ to re-download it. The site.ini file says $$encrypted [13/01/2021]$ which seems to indicate that is can be used by anyone according to this post ? Not sure if it's encrypted in V2 or V3.

we no longer encrypt ini with keys although we can if the developer wishes.

hers the ini unencrypted for you to test.

decide then if u want to donate(6 euro/yr) to get all features.

put the ini in your webgrab config folder

you dont need to overwrite the one in  the ini pack folder.

webgrab will use the one on the config directory as it the first one it finds.

it looks for files in a specific order.

rename the file and remove the underscores.the sites add these for security reasons to uploads.

sorry.

looking at the date in the ini pack it was last updated in 2020.

it may still work but i dont have access to the decrypt tool to decrypt the version in the ini pack and i dont have a copy of it in my own files.

Strange it still works fine. May be as Blackbear199 said is a problemm with siteini encryption. As far as i know you should at least get title with registred user, but that might have been changed. It also depend if datta is available on website.

Uploaded as V3.

@Cuttter, you can run siteinipack update, be aware that if you transfer the file it may get corrupted, best way is to use winscp and set transfer mode binary as described here:

I've updated the site pack. The tvp.pl.ini file now contains today's encryption date. But same problem:

-- skipped --> encrypted SiteIni

The file's md5sum: 55c9d91d923ca19d9405a3180ffd3cb1

Shouldn't the file be encrypted in V2 to be usable by anyone ?

Thanks

check you webgrab log.

it will tell you if its V3 or V2 encrypted.

i had a copy of the pack from days ago and its shows it V3 encrypted.
if its V3,registered_users cannot decrypt it,only donator_license can decrypt V3 files.

V2 can be decrypted by un_registered_user,registered_user,donator(expired) and default(same as un_registered_user)

the encryption tool by default uses V3
V2 needs to be selected
thats why pretty much everything is V3 encrypted
V2 was the old encryption method and was kept for files that were v2 encrypted when v3 came out.

hardly anything is v2 encrypted except old files from years ago.

i suggested to jan(creator) that this be changed to v3 or v2 for all users.
